Nonlinear fiber models

there is a limit in the computational time for the solution of a generic OpenSEES model? I’m trying to get restoring force from OpenSEES to Matlab by UISIMCOR but after few iteration within the 1st time step OpenSEES stops. The nonlinear model works if computed directly in OpenSEES.

Thanks a lot

No. There is no time limit. UI-SimCor shows an error message if a response is not returned in time, but it keeps waiting for response.

I think what’s happening is that the OpenSEES is not returning expected results. Since it is happening at the first step, which is stiffness evaluation stage, I think it is not a convergence issue.

Did you try to run the examples?
