Why does this error occur sometimes? Error: mpirun has exited due to process rank 0 with PID 28927 on

HI, I am getting the error shown below every so often while I am running simulations on OpenSees Laboratory. I have ran the exact same script and some times I get this error and some times the script will run fine...

Is this something that may be caused by my script or is this caused by something else? And is there a way I can keep this error from occurring?

Thanks in advance,

Ryan Slein

mpirun has exited due to process rank 0 with PID 28927 on
node carter-c015.rcac.purdue.edu exiting improperly. There are two reasons this could occur:

1. this process did not call "init" before exiting, but others in
the job did. This can cause a job to hang indefinitely while it waits
for all processes to call "init". By rule, if one process calls "init",
then ALL processes must call "init" prior to termination.

2. this process called "init", but exited without calling "finalize".
By rule, all processes that call "init" MUST call "finalize" prior to
exiting or it will be considered an "abnormal termination"

This may have caused other processes in the application to be
terminated by signals sent by mpirun (as reported here).
