Today, employees with Project Management skills are in great demand and they can add significant value to an organization. FORTUNE Magazine has identified project management as the “career path of choice” in the future. Based on a 2012 survey conducted by GLOBAL KNOWLEDGE, the industry leader in IT, business and enterprise training, the Project Management Institutes (PMI), Project Management Professional (PMP) credential is the most important certification for Project Managers. The PMP certification is globally acknowledged, in high demand and highly sought after by corporations and individuals alike.

The majority of the “Essentials of Project Management” Webinar will be devoted to introducing attendees to the ten Knowledge areas (Scope Management, Cost Management, Time Management, Quality Management, Stakeholder Management, Procurement Management, Communication Management, Risk Management, Human Resources Management and Integration Management) and five Process groups (Initiating, Planning, Monitoring & Control, Execution and Closing) that PMI has identified as key to the discipline of Project Management (PM). Best Practices PM tools and techniques will be highlighted for each knowledge area and process group, along with examples.

The webinar will also examine the value proposition related to an individual and an organization adopting Project Management Best Practices. A list of suggested organizational best practices will be presented.

Finally, the webinar will review the different PMI Certifications, target audiences and eligibility requirements.
