This is a free, two-day NEEScomm data management training workshop at the UC Davis facility. Data upload assistance also will be available. (See below for information about travel to the Davis facility.)
NEEScomm data curator Standa Pejša will provide hands-on training to NEES researchers. The workshop is open to all research teams who have data to upload to the NEES data repository. Researchers should bring the data they plan to upload. All participants are expected to provide their own computers.
It is the last data-training session scheduled in 2014, the final year of the NEES Operations award.

Tips on traveling to Davis, from Dan Wilson, associate director for NEES at UC Davis.
Directions the NEES at the UC Davis facility.
The Sacramento airport is the closest to Davis, about a 30 minute drive. Sacramento airport and shuttle information
Amtrak also stops in Davis, and visitors can generally walk to hotels from the station.
I recommend staying in downtown Davis. Downtown has a lot of nice restaurants and is very walkable. I've listed some hotel recommendation below. There are a few cheaper hotels, especially if you move out of the downtown area.
I do not recommend staying in Sacramento as it is quite a bit out of the way and you'll spend a lot of time on the freeways.
