Abstract

The Mini-Wave Flume Structure Challenge is an activity designed for public events but can also be used with smaller groups of people. It requires a Mini-Wave Flume as described by www.nees.org/resources/7471 and www.nees.org/resources/7458. The activity is designed to draw children and families in so that they can learn about engineering and the engineering design process. Lego and wave provide the hook, while the hands-on activity provides the learning space.

Please see the attachments tab for a full procedure and volunteer training guide.
