Description: Real-time hybrid simulations are conducted to validate the Real-time hybrid testing methods using three large-scale MR dampers as physical test specimens and a computational structural model. The dampers are operated in (a) passive mode, where a constant level of
current is sent to all MR dampers - to provide a MR damper baseline; and (b) active control where a time-varying command signal is sent to the MR dampers.
