|Description:||This experiment was conducted to investigate the linear and nonlinear behavior of a 3-story moment frame in a fixed base condition. The moment frame was shaken in only one horizontal direction. It was also attached to a gravity frame that provided the inertial loading without any addition lateral resistance. These test were conducted to investigate the behavior of the moment frame; a similar frame was tested with base isolation including impact against a moat wall. Ground motion simulations were used from the 1994 Northridge earthquake and the 1995 Kobe earthquake, and white noise tests were conducted as well to measure any possible damage in the structure.|
