HybridSimulation-3: Real time hybrid simulation of a steel structure with elastomeric dampers, phase 1, layout 2
Experiment Type: Hybrid Simulation
Description: These experiments are to check performance of a steel structure designed with elastomeric dampers. Structure has 4, 3 and 2 dampers in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd stories respectively. Moment resistant frames (MRFs), damped braced frames (DBFs), floor masses, dampers of the 1st and 2nd stories are modeled analytically (analytical sub-structure). Dampers in the 3rd story are modeled experimentally.

Runs 1,2 and 3 investigate structure behavior under DBE level earthquake. Runs 4,5 and 6 investigate structure behavior under MCE level.
