NEES project warehouse: data tab: not all data available from this tab.

Transferred from ticket #464. Rodney Porter says that the Data tab is misleading, because all of the data is not available.

Researchers and users should be able to see all objects they have uploaded from one screen, not just data, but also documentation, images, movies

Adding the PEN tool should satisfy the need to see what files are there. RDV, a PDF viewer, and OpenOffice should cover most of the other file types. The problem also seems to be that additional information needs to be added so that data is linked with a tool, for instance all the data from main runs in a project can be viewed by indeed, but the data from the calibration runs, with the same setup, can’t.

It should not be necessary for researchers to open another application, so that they can see all their files. What about external users – they should also see all files under the project – provided that the files are not suppressed or private. It will give users an idea of size and scope of a given projects, it will also provides them with information about documentation files

Fix: Choose tool “Any” to see all files. Would still like some tweaks: Ability to select “None” for Experiment, Trial or Repetition in the Filter to select only those files that aren’t in the specified location.

Not sure “Any” is the best name for the tool.
