12th Annual Structural Engineering Conference at UIUI- March 31
Registration is now open for the 12th Annual Structural Engineering Conference, held Thursday, March 31st, at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign (UIUC).
Highlights of the Morning Session include:

- "Code of the West," John Breen, University of Texas at Austin, Austin, TX
- "Relevance of the 2010 Chile Earthquake to U.S. Design Practice," Jack Moehle, University of California,Berkeley, Berkeley, CA
- "Transforming the Midwest by Transforming Travel," Rick Harnish, Midwest High Speed Rail Association, Chicago, IL
Concurrent Sessions in the afternoon will cover Building Structures and Bridges (four presentations in each).
The conference can provide 5.5 hours of credit towards the state of Illinois structural engineering license continuing education requirements. It can also provide six PDHs for professional engineers.

The blocks of sleeping rooms at the I Hotel and Conference Center, 1900 South First Street, Champaign, Illinois, and Hawthorn Suites will be released at the end of February.
