Dr. Sandy Seale Recognized for Outstanding Contributions to STEM Education

On February 20, 2013 NEES@UCSB Education and Outreach Coordinator Dr. Sandy Seale was recognized by Henry Cuellar, Congressman of the 28th District in Texas, for her outstanding contributions to STEM education. Dr. Seale presented the keynote address at “Introduce a Girl to Engineering,” a program sponsored by the National Engineers Week Foundation and the Imaginarium of South Texas in collaboration with the Laredo Engineering and Technology Magnet high school. Following her talk, Congressman Cuellar presented Dr. Seale the Congressional Certificate of Recognition with this citation: "In appreciation of your unwavering support and contribution to the STEM initiative and for sharing your experience and knowledge with the young women of Laredo, TX."
