NEES - Hall of Discovery Learning and Research
207 S. Martin Jischke Drive, Purdue University West Lafayette, IN 47907
- to explore EOT opportunities with participants (or groups of participants)
- to have each participant leave with concrete plans for potential learning experiences to be designed over the next year.
Each participant should bring a lap-top computer to use during the workshop.
Monday, June 28
Morning sessions will be devoted to learning about NEESHub and how we can use Hub technology to enhance all our NEES EOT activities. In the afternoon we will start working on a challenge question and become better acquainted with NEES Academy. Monday evening will find us enjoying a great picnic with lots of good food, drink, and games in a nearby on-campus park.
Tuesday, June 29
The day will be devoted to small-team discussions and problem-solving activities related to our challenge question. Everyone will have the opportunity to share solutions and EOT ideas with the NEES community. We will finish around 5 pm.
This is a two-day workshop for the NEES community members who are interested in and plan to work on Education, Outreach, and Training opportunities. At least one person from each equipment site should plan to attend.
NEEScomm will reimburse participants’ travel expenses (coach airfare and ground transportation) and meals for one member from each of the NEES sites and up to 15 of the first additional members to RSVP for the event. Lodging will be provided at a local hotel. A limited number of additional participants may be accepted if they can provide their own funding.
