EPETO is meant for online performance simulation and visualization of variety of buildings, earthquake exposure and types of seismic control devices.
Recent research in the field of Earthquake engineering (NSF Award No: CMS-0618183) gave rise to a non-commercial release of innovative software called Earthquake Performance Evaluation Tool (EPET) developed by Sergey Shustov (see http://www.epet.space3d.biz). EPET enables experiments with virtual buildings on Earthquake protectors (see http://www.structuralpedia.com/index.php?title=Earthquake_protector) accompanied with testing of the identical but fixed-base buildings. On users’ demand, all those concurrent experiments may be animated.
As a continuation of the previous research, the Seismic Evaluation internet portal called Earthquake Performance Evaluation Too Online (EPETO) is now created which is meant to facilitate potential users’ performance and expand the variety of buildings, earthquake exposure and types of seismic control devices.
