inDEED - Exporting Data and Images from inDEED

by Rachelle Howell, George A. Howlett

The inDEED tool has the ability to export the data from or image of a selected plot.

Create a Plot

Select the sensors whose data or graph you want to export, and create a plot.

The download button is the button with the downward pointing green arrow. It is located in the upper right corner of the plot window. This button is not available in other windows (i.e., specimen view windows).

Choose your Export Options

When you click the download button, you will be given an option to download either the data from the current plot in a CSV format or an image of the current plot. If you choose to download data, you will be downloading the full sets of data for the selected sensors. This is a very easy way to export selected columns of data from a larger data file that you may not want to download. Note that you will be exporting the data as it is plotted. For example, if you selected two accelerometers and one displacement transducer, but only plot the displacement vs. time data, only the displacement vs. time data will be exported.

Save the File

A popup will appear with the data or image that you are exporting (you MUST have popups enabled) and you can save the file using the “Save As” button in this popup.

NOTE: Sometimes, the Save As button is hidden and you need to resize the top panel of the popup box in order to see it.
