Description: A six story reinforced concrete building was instrumented with 8 tri-axial accelerometers to record ambient vibrations. As part of the seismic retrofit process, the building was cleared while it underwent ambient vibration testing. All non-structural components were removed (partition walls, ceilings, plumbing, etc.). The ambient vibration data gives baseline levels for the building's dynamic properties. These values will be compared to the dynamic properties post retrofit in order to determine the changes that occur from jacketing the columns, adding structural walls, and constructing a mat foundation.
