Experiment-14: T-Rex shaking along Line E
Experiment Type: Field
Description: Tests were conducted at Hornsby Bend Site, Austin, TX, from 10/26/2010 to 11/5/2010. Liquidator was used a seismic source along Test Line C. (Please see 2010-10 Experiment_setup.pdf file for sensors and shaker locations.)

The purpose of this experiment is to find out the distribution of soil's material properties (Elastic modulus and Poisson's ratio). The experiment is carefully designed in such a way that obtained results may be processed by 2D codes. Basically, in order to generate 2D conditions in a field (plane strain conditions) one needs to apply "line loads" that extend to infinity. However, this is not practical. Therefore, these "line loads" are replaced by point sources with appropriate spacing. In the end, we may use a 2D inversion code to process these data.
