PEN Quick Start - Editing File Information

Editing File Information

The PEN tool does not contain all of the file/object information fields that can be edited in the Project Editor. However, there are some basic file information fields available that can be edited in PEN; these fields are the file title and description.

When you select a file in the left panel, an “Info” tab is displayed in the right panel. This “Info” tab contains the file title and description. You can edit both of these fields. After editing these fields, be sure to click the “Save” button or your changes will be lost.

If you want to go back to your original title and description and you have not yet clicked the “Save” button, you can click the “Reset” button to undo your changes.

You can edit file info on local files (blue files), files that exist in the Project Warehouse (grey files), and files that exist both locally and in the Project Warehouse (black files). When you edit the file information on files that exist in the Project Warehouse, those changes will take effect immediately in the Warehouse.
